Hi, hi!
This weekend I kept a little running list of everything I wore. From slow mornings and backyard sprinkler and popsicle filled afternoons to a spontaneous date night and a Sunday spent pretending the laundry didn’t exist. Nothing groundbreaking, just a weekend full of simple, happy things and outfits that made me feel like myself.
Thought it’d be fun to share here with you, so let’s jump in:
Saturday Morning
Pancake breakfast with the kids, silly songs, extra snuggles… the kind of morning you want to bottle up. We stayed in our PJs way too long and moved at the best possible pace… slow.
→ Wearing: Lace Shorts (M) + Cotton Sweater (M)
These shorts are cute and flirty, but also thinking they’d be a great cover-up, right? The sweater is perfect for summer mornings when the A/C is going strong. Comes in a bunch of colors, too.
Saturday Afternoon
We opened the back doors, pulled out the water table, turned on the bubble machine, and let the chaos commence. Classic Saturday stuff until the afternoon thunderstorms rolled in right on time.
→ Wearing: Active Skirt (M) + Cropped Top (S) + Cotton Sweater (M)
This combo is my go-to mom-but-make-it-sporty look. Bonus points because if I ever did play pickleball, this is what I’d wear!
Saturday Evening
After a quick shower and a swipe of mascara, we snuck out for a glass of wine at our favorite little spot. Nothing fancy, but it felt like everything.
→ Wearing: Wide-Leg Pants (size long and tts, I’m 5’9”) + Asymmetrical Top (S)
These jeans have been on *major* repeat. The cut is so flattering and they’re actually comfy. The top is just the right amount of flirty without trying too hard. I want it in every color!
Sunday Morning
Church followed by brunch. One of my favorite rhythms of the week.
→ Wearing: Easy Dress (size small more styles here) + Sweater (M)
This dress deserves a trophy. It’s good. So easy, so wearable. Already eyeing more colors.
Sunday Afternoon
We put the kids down for naps and decided to ignore our Sunday to-do list. Took our books outside, made iced coffees, and sat in the sunshine. Heaven.
→ Wearing: Bikini Top (S) + Bottoms (M) + Beach Pants (M)
This set just feels good. The beach pants are a summer staple for me. Poolside, patio, pretending I’m on vacation… they work for all of it.
Sunday Evening
Slipped right back into those lace shorts and the cozy sweater. No notes.
Such a sweet weekend. I’m keeping these outfits in the notes app on my phone because the next time we take a little trip, I’m packing this exact lineup. Easy, comfortable, and made me feel like me.
Thanks to Abercrombie & Fitch for sponsoring this post and for making pieces that just work. Especially for weekends that don’t take you far, but still feel like an adventure.
xx
